So, a little blog devoted to one aspect of the Buddhist (or any) self awareness Path. I have a lot of quotes from a lot of teachers, and hope to interject some of my personal experience with coming to live a bit more in the Present.

Grampa's Poems

Sept 30'88

Open to the filling,
Stretched out in the sun,
Meditative reverie a feeling,
Like energy pumping inside,
Welling up from the primal depths,
From where animals get the strength to survive the winter.

Welling up flowing up my spine,
Filling my nerves to bursting,
In conjunction with nostrils expanding,
Sucking in the sweet air and filling.
Mostly the sweetness and cool air rushing through,
Nasal passageways causing,
Heady mind expanding blowing out filling,
With light and power and energy rushing up flowing in,
To the space where was my head.

Now orgasmic aching with filledness,
And opening my body more in surrender,
To the sun's warm onslaught and beaming down,
And entranced throbbing of energy welling up.
Definitely primal and sexual,
Not knowing what I'm being,
But knowing I will never be the same

The feeling of well being,
(As a hummingbird visits patiently,
Each of the 128 delicate red Bee Balm blossoms),
Cannot adequately be described,
And yet...and yet...

The garden needs weeding.  Dishes languish in a pile.
The old man wanders about preoccupied with the sunset,
Mind jarred into teary awareness,
By hot bee buzz flower autumn afternoon beauty.

Where have my dreams gone?
Like the morning fog-mist in the gorge,
They have dissipated to reveal truth and beauty.
